CANCER SUMMER SCHOOL – Angers (FRANCE)

Innovative and multidisciplinary appraoch to oncology
From 1st to 13th July 2013                                               

Seize the opportunity to come to France and to benefit from exclusive practical sessions supervised by international experts in oncology and cancer research! 

With the support of the French league against cancer and Cancéropôle Grand-Ouest, Angers Medical School is launching this summer its very 1st edition of the exciting Cancer Summer School.
The CSSA is dedicated to undergraduate students from 4th year to 6th year of medicine, biological sciences, pharmacy, veterinary and midwifery studies.

This 2-week program will give students an overview of cancer from bench to bedside. All the lectures and workshops will be entirely conducted in English. International researchers and clinicians from different European countries and also from the USA (Harvard University), Canada (Mc Gill University) will be teaching on different topics such as: Cell death and cancer; Cell signaling, oncogenic addiction and cancer; Oncogene, epithelial-mesenchymal transition and cancer; Prostate cancer and surgical innovations; Genomics and hematology; Melanoma and Brain tumors. 

Visits of international research institutes will be organised during the stay: ARRONAX in Nantes and Hematology University Institute in Paris.
An attractive social program is also included (sport sessions, seacoast day, theatre event, etc.) to help the students to get to know each other!

The cost of 650 Euros includes tuition, accommodation, lunches, scheduled excursions and extracurricular activities.
